Virtual Art Salon with Virgil Ortiz

This Virtual Art Salon is free of charge and welcomes all artists, art students, educators, and enthusiasts. Virgil Ortiz will present his work in conversation with Andrea Jenkins Wallace, Vice President of Artistic Affairs, Artistic Director of Photography and New Media; Chair of The Center. We invite you to join us via Zoom!
Virgil Ortiz is one of the most avant-garde artists of his time. Through his exploration with clay and various media–graphics, fashion, film and video–Virgil fuses historic events with sci-fi and fantasy, yielding imagery that is both provocative and futuristic. He exhibits in museum collections around the world. His work centers on preserving traditional Cochiti culture and art forms.

Elizabeth Ferrill
Artistic Director of Painting, Drawing & Printmaking; Artists-in-Residence Program; Critical Dialogue Program
Elizabeth Ferrill received her MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. She has had solo exhibitions nationally and internationally, including in: Aspen, CO; Nashville, TN; Omaha, NE; New York, NY; and Berlin, Germany.
