Art Like Me!
Jul 11 - 15, 2022
9AM-3PM
Concept
In this workshop, design and create works of art based on the things and people who are important to you! Throughout the week, students create magical 2-D artworks using various mixed media to curate into a book that tells an autobiographical story. Work creatively with paint, oil pastels, collage, glitter, clay and papier-mâché. Sculpt ceramic family trees and papier-mâché world sculptures that replicate treasured memories. Children will also use sketchbooks and learn about famous artists to help ideas flow! Get ready to tell a story through art; at the end of the week books and sculptures are displayed.
This workshop is taught by a bilingual art educator who will support our English and Spanish speaking participants through the use of both languages during instruction.
