Linoleum and Monotype: Merging Process and Imagery
Jun 20 - 24, 2022
9AM-5PM
Concept
This experimental workshop explores multi-layered images through the use of traditional relief printing from linoleum blocks and one-of-a-kind monotype prints from plexiglass plates. Students have the opportunity to explore and combine both techniques in order to create a series of unique prints with a rich variety of mark making, pattern and texture. While exploring these techniques, students are encouraged to work from source material and develop their ideas to create prints that are both formally beautiful and conceptually engaging.
